How to recover my hotmail account.

Hello,

A few weeks ago, I removed the association (via an alias) of my old hotmail.fr address from my outlook.fr account, as I believed I no longer needed the old address.
Unfortunately, I just realized that some of my other accounts (like GoG, BattleNet, or EpicGames) are still linked to my hotmail address, and I can no longer access them.

I already tried to re-add the hotmail address as an alias to my Microsoft account, but I was told I couldn’t do so because it comes from a private domain.
Would you happen to know if there is any way I could recover or reassign this address to my account?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello,

Once a hotmail or outlook alias is deleted from a Microsoft account as an alias, that account is gone permanently. Microsoft doesn't reuse its own email address, so it cannot be added to created as alias for another Microsoft account.

Microsoft explains it here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/add-or-rem...

Under the section "Remove an email address", it says:

"Are you sure? If you remove an alias that's an email address from a Microsoft domain (like @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, or @msn.com), you're permanently deleting the alias and it can't be associated with any Microsoft account again."

I am very sorry. I wish I could share better news.. but it is important that I stay honest and don't mislead you.
