I now am in a loop of logging in, verifying via code sent to email, being asked to change my password, and then being asked to log in again

Not sure if this is related but my microsoft office is also in spanish when i tried to use it last week?

any advice on how to fix this is appreciated :(

    Dear TC123DH

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

For the classic version of outlook to switch from Spanish to English, you first make sure that these three parameters are displayed correctly:

    1. the Window system language is set to English.
    2. Confirm that it is English in Outlook client: click File - Options - Language - find English, confirm that they are all in English, then click Confirm and reopen outlook.

If it still doesn't work, you can also try to get the corresponding language accessory package from the following link and install it to see the effect:

Language Accessory Pack for Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Support

I hope the above information can help you.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best wishes

    Dear TC123DH

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

For your situation. Your Microsoft account is being asked to change its password repeatedly.

According to your description, you are spamming on Groupme causing your account to be locked and need to be unlocked.

After you were asked to enter your verification information, you reset your password to unlock your account, but you were locked out again when you logged in.

You can use the method below:

If you are logging into Groupme on your cell phone, you can log into account.microsoft.com on your computer and log into your account. If you still need to change your password to verify it, you can reset your password and log in, and after you have successfully logged in, you can log into your account in the “Security” section. “When you have successfully logged in, you can check whether there is any information that you have not logged in personally, if so, it is very likely that your account information has been leaked.

If it is, it is very likely that your account information has been compromised. If the same thing happens on the computer side, you can change your password and log in to the account the next day if you make sure that the device does not have a proxy turned on and that you are in your country and have not traveled abroad. It's possible that the previous account information wasn't synchronized to the Microsoft account, causing the true situation to keep repeating itself.

You can also change your browser to log into your Microsoft account.

I hope the above information can help you.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best wishes
