Hi,
In my organisation, we use the outlook calendar to organise meetings, etc. It is very useful to receive notifications via email when people respond.
However, I use the same tool to create seminars with many invitees, so it becomes very annoying to receive hundreds of mails and notifications for them. Is there a way to prevent outlook to send me emails for some of the events?

You can't turn off the responses, or you will be unable to track responses.
If you read through the entire thread, you will find some interesting responses and experiences.
jspears0501 had replied to my question on how to stop receiving email notifications of people responses, quoted here below:
I had the same experience and it was a nightmare. I found this option to work for me.
Go to File – Options – Mail – Tracking and select “Update Tracking information, and then delete responses that don’t contain a comment.”
This will stop you receiving all calendar responses via email but will still track the responses. This way you are not flooded with accepted or rejected invitation responses, and you are still able to see who has responded and their response.
I did this, but it is not working properly, though it's the most promising I've seen so far.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but haven't quite figured out why yet.
I have the same question; if I uncheck the option to get notifications, when I go to see who and how many people accepted the meeting, there are no responses. Please advise. Thank you.
Hi! I just sent out meeting invites with Request Responses turned off because I wanted to avoid the emails, but despite what this post says, there is no tracking information in the event details on my Outlook calendar. Instead, under Attendees it says "You haven't requested responses for this event." So no, I don't think it's true that it only stops email notifications. I believe it doesn't collect the information at all, which is not what I wanted.
Thanks @jspears0501. I assume this only works on Outlook Classic however, not Outlook PWA or new Outlook, as there is no Mail – Tracking options on those versions?
