I can't see the "To" Column on the personal folders for sended emails, only the "from"

Hello

I can create personal folders inside the "Sent items" default folder. But these folders show only the "From" column, instead the "To" column which is the relevant one for sent emails.

On the default Sent Items folder, the column "To" is shown and "From" is hidden for convenience. But when you create a sub-folder on the Sent items default folder the subfolders Hide the "To" and show instead "From" as any other custom folder. I try to to configure columns to add more columns on Settings or Directly clicking on the Display grid (like previous versions) but the Column management option seems not exist in this version.

¿Is there any way to configure "To" column on Sent items especific subfolders?

My versions

Outlook Web for MS365. (online and WAP)

Also tried the windows 11 version (standalone)

The Account is a Business account of MS365

How to reproduce

On outlook's Email tab.

Select "Sent items" folder

Right-click > Create new subfolder (the new subfolder will be shown as child of the "sent items" folder.

Move any sent emails to the new subfolder (drag&drop)

Expected: The grid on an outbound subfolder shall show the "To" column to identify the recipient of your outbound messages. But you see "From" value instead as in an inbound folder and subfolders.

Hipotesis: When you create a subfolder, the parent folder (inbound or outbound) is not evaluated and all subfolders are considered to store inbound messages only

Hello Francisco Belda Escamilla,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community, I will be happy assisting you with this request.

Based on your description, It seems like you're experiencing a specific issue with the display columns in subfolders of the "Sent Items" folder in Outlook. Unfortunately, Outlook's default behavior may not always display the "To" column in these subfolders, and there might not be a direct built-in solution for this in the current versions of Outlook Web for Microsoft 365 and Outlook for Windows 11.

However, you can try the following workaround to see if it addresses your issue:

  • Custom View:

1- Navigate to the subfolder within the "Sent Items" folder.

2- On the ribbon, go to the "View" tab.

3- Click on "View Settings" or "Change View."

4- Click on "Columns" and add the "To" field to the view.

5- Save the view.

.

  • Conditional Formatting:

In the same "View Settings" or "Change View" menu, you can also explore "Conditional Formatting".

Add a new rule to highlight or change the font color for messages where "To" contains data.

.

Please let me know if you need further assistance, Thank you!

    Hi.

    Thanks for the quick answer!

After compare Classic and New version of Outlook I can confirm this option is not yet developed or implemented on the new Outlook.

View tab > View Settings Instead it opens the general Settings panel.

I will give feedback on feedback portal. Thanks!.
