I keep getting single-use codes for an email of mine

I have been receiving everyday a single use code to sign into my account with an email of mine -- I have had this email for over 15 years -- someone is trying to get into it. it has a phone number listed with the last digits being 80. my number has NEVER been that. I don't understand how I cannot reset my password without sending a code to that number. this is really starting to piss me off... especially since there isn't a number I can call to contact an actual person. I have gone through putting in my information to try and recover the account, yet it says I didn't provide enough evidence supporting my claim of ownership to this email.

    Dear all,

I keep receiving such a message from:

    ******@accountprotection.microsoft.com

I just assume it is fake.

Wow, wicked support from Microsoft. As in, there isn't any.

Is there no way to disable this one time pass code ****? Like maybe 2fa or something, surely you guys have figured this out. Jesus christ.

I'm starting to get these unrequested codes now. No indication which of my microsoft accounts someone is trying to hack into. I'm ignoring them as MS suggest, but it feels very much like a disaster waiting to happen.

No help.except to wonder thru the maze of overinflated non relavemt info

While my account continues to get hacked. Is there anyway to do away with this altogether? Doesn't Microsoft..notice a dozen or so requests for a one time code per week seems to be unusual? This has been going on for quite some.time and instead of an answer they put it community chat where I'm sure to get several opinions from people that have nothing to do with the software or protection of accounts. Surprised they didn't suggeat asking mailman. All the money paid in to a company who thinks the answer is best solved by a chat line
