I keep getting single-use codes for an email of mine

I have been receiving everyday a single use code to sign into my account with an email of mine -- I have had this email for over 15 years -- someone is trying to get into it. it has a phone number listed with the last digits being 80. my number has NEVER been that. I don't understand how I cannot reset my password without sending a code to that number. this is really starting to piss me off... especially since there isn't a number I can call to contact an actual person. I have gone through putting in my information to try and recover the account, yet it says I didn't provide enough evidence supporting my claim of ownership to this email.

So, I used to get these all the time for an email address that I am aware was included in a number of data breaches. I used to get like 20 of them a day, so I disabled the ability for it to be used to sign into anything and they stopped completely. However, recently I have started receiving them again. How is this possible if sign in with that email address is completely disabled?

Wow, wicked support from Microsoft. As in, there isn't any.

Is there no way to disable this one time pass code ****? Like maybe 2fa or something, surely you guys have figured this out. Jesus christ.

Well I received an email for single use sign in code for my account and I think someone has access to my device already. so when they request that code to sign into my account whether I ignore it or not doesn't even matter if they can go through my email without me knowing.

I would like to turn off single use code feature to access my account. because i recently had an issue when someone went into my browser and changed the settings and then locked me out from being able to access any websites.

after paying money to use this service I would think it would be more secure. But once someone can access your information, a person cannot even get onto a browser to notify anyone.

I had this problem. Contacted Microsoft through "help" and they walked me through security changes that stopped it all.
