Hi,

When outlook takes half of my screen, the "normal" option under folder pane is greyed-out. Also, I cannot open the folder pane and "pin" it ("pin" icon is absent).

How can I ALWAYS have the folder pane visible ?

what is your screen resolution and display %?

It definitely should be enabled if Outlook is at full screen. I dont see a GPO to force it small but know it will be unavailable if you use Portrait mode.

Do you have the To-Do bar enabled? It (and the reading pane on the right) can affect the minimum width needed to disable the ability to show the folder pane.

Are you using the recommended resolution and display % ?

    Hi supermorgen,

Firstly please try steps below to solve the problem:

    • Run your Outlook client in safe mode to check if the issue is due to add-ins.
    • Try to reset the navpane of  Outlook client by typing Outlook.exe /resetnavpane and click OK.
    • Try to troubleshoot the issue with Support and Recovery Assistane for Office 365 (SaRA), you may find instruction about it Here.

If methods above couldn’t address the issue, please confirm following information:

    1. Was the “normal” option accessable before?
    2. Did you make any modification before this issue occurred?
    3. Do you encounter the similar issue in other computers?

To make sure, please provide the screenshots regarding the issue and your Outlook client version as below.

    Your time is much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Kevin
