Teams Recognition feature not working for some users

I support Microsoft 365 users in an Enterprise environment (over 1000 total users).

Our admin has enabled the voice recognition feature, and I was able to create a voice profile in Teams on my Mac, so I know it's been properly enabled.

But at least one Mac user sees this when she tries to create a voice profile:

"Your admin might not have turned on this feature, or it may not be available in your region." (see image below)

Troubleshooting steps already tried:

  • Verified that she has the current release of Teams for Mac (Version 24193.1707.3028.4282).
  • Restarted her Mac
  • This 3-step process:
    • Quit & deleted Teams
    • Deleted /Users/steve.klein3/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.teams2
    • Re-installed Teams

Nonetheless, the problem remains.

What steps are recommended to resolve this issue?

The issue has been resolved, and I want to share the resolution:

This affected user had been a test group at some point in the past, which had the effect of excluding her account from our default global meeting policy. (Several others were set this way as well.)

Once we removed them from that test group, all worked as expected!
