Red cross does not clear from high level folder icon. OneDrive issues fixed, cross remains.

There were red crosses on other folders (sub folders), but as the OneDrive sync issues resolved those crosses fixed too. Onlt the very last high level folder has a red cross remaining. I have show hidden folders, so it's not related to a hidden folder. OneDrive also now has zero unresolved issuse.

I have deleted the icon cache, that hasn't helped.

    Hello rosyoutlook21,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

Based on the screenshot attached, this icon — A red circle with a white cross usually indicates that the folder cannot be synced. There are several reasons why syncing may fail.

    1. When you click on the OneDrive icon in the notification area (taskbar), does it show any error message or code explaining why the sync is not working for the particular folder?
    2. What are all the methods you have followed to fix the sync issue for other folders?

If you haven't tried these solutions yet, you can give them a try to fix the OneDrive Synce issue.

    • Ensure you have enough storage in your OneDrive account.
