Windows activation use port 80 - insecure HTTP

We observed that Windows activation uses port 80 (HTTP), which is considered insecure. Given this, can we disable port 80 through the firewall? Will this impact Windows activation, we have already enabled port 443 (HTTPS)?

Good day Theran, thanks for your question. I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. This is a common or a usual operation when connectivity is being established and that is why there are times that port 80 will be present but the main transmission of information wtih regards to the acitivation passes through port 443 and therefore it will be okay to disable port 80 as part of security measure/s.

Regards,

Paul R.
