I just built a new Win 11 PC, when I tried to print a simple text document on Win 11 I get this message "This app doesn't support print preview". How do I solve this problem?

PC Info:

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor

Windows 11 Pro, Ver.24H2, build 26100.3775

  1. Apps that worked on Win10 but get this error on Win 11:

EmEditor Free (64-bit) Version 25.0.1n

MS Notepad

Apps that don't get this error on Win 11:

Open office Version 4.1.15

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Devices and drivers

    Hello Tarison,

Thank you for sharing your concern on community forum,

As per my understanding, you are facing issue regarding the print preview. Here are some steps you may consider.

    1. Sometimes, outdated systems can cause the issue. You can check for the additional updates. Please check - Install Windows Updates - Microsoft Support.
    2. Update the printer spooler drivers. Press Windows + X, it will open device manager. Then expand Printers, right-click your printer, and select Update drivers. Then choose search automatically for updated drivers.
    3. Restart the printer spooler services. You can do that by Pressing Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Scroll down and find Print Spooler in the list. Right-click Print Spooler and select Restart. If it’s already running, stop it first, then start it again.
    4. If the above steps do not work. You can roll back the windows to previous version. And check if it works for you.

I appreciate your understanding and patience,

    Kind regards
