I lost my Word Icon on my desk top and I can't find "Word" in my start menu.  All my files open.

I just can't use word for writing new things.

Click Start > Search and search the disk for the Word executable file, which is named winword.exe .  When found, create a shortcut to it in the Start menu folder:

       C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
