Hi! My email background has suddenly come up red, with web changing "blank" page colored red, with the color red behind advertisements.  I have run virus scan after scan and it comes up clean.  This red color is driving me NUTS!

Hey DBV1956,

a. On which email account are you facing this problem?

b. Also, which browser do you use to access the account?

Without knowing the same, we have hardly anything to suggest. If the problem is related to Windows Live Mail/Hotmail, you may post the query at Windows Live Help forum.

See: http://www.windowslivehelp.com/

For other issues, it would be best to get in touch with the email service provider. If you need further assistance, please post the required information.

Regards,

Shinmila H - Microsoft Support

I have the same issues and this is not related to a particular email account; this is a Windows Internet Explorer issue for the most part but but also affects other programs such as update notifications (lower right corner) for McAffee.  I run Windows Vista on a HP Pavilion dv4 laptop.
