my surface boo2 suddenly shows black screen with HDMI sign and shutdown.
How to fix a black screen of death of a Surface book 2?
My surface book 2 went to a black screen of death mode after a close the book and tried start the system again. I have tried the standard approach to reset the system using the power button and/or the volume up button, but it seems that system is working properly in the background (i can see through the dark screen) but the screen is still black.
I would welcome any recommendations on how to fix it ? It is really annoying situation and at the moment I have no computer for my work.

We understand that you're having issue with your Surface Book 2
For a black screen, use the following keyboard shortcut: Windows key + Ctrl+ Shift+ B.
If this operation doesn't display your screen content, please force shutdown and then press and hold the volume up and power buttons to start the computer. Can you enter the UEFI interface normally?
If you can't complete this operation, you can refer to the following link.

So,the best thing we could do is to refer you to the online service channel which is best to handle your concern.
Please follow the steps below:1. Go to Device service and repair and sign in with your Microsoft account. 2. If your device is already registered, select it and follow the instructions. If your device isn't listed, select Register device, then follow the instructions to get service.
I wish you all the best and hoping you'll get a resolution there.

Thank you Lugoo! I have been trying all the recommendations above but nothing seems to work. it seems that machine is running but I can seen the screen content ! At the this point, I guess my best option is to take the machine to a Microsoft authorized Surface Book 2 service provider! If you a list of service providers in Sao Paulo - Brazil I would greatly appriciate.
Thank you in advance for your help and comments.
