Where do search ads get the business name?

In the Image Extension preview, some of the aspect ratios have a field that says [Ad] Business Name. We are a marketing agency, and we need to ensure the advertisers name appears here, not the marketing agency's name. From what field does Microsoft Advertising collect the Business Name? Is it from Tools >> Account Settings >> Account Name or Legal Business Name?

It seems as if we are almost there. The original question: "From what field does the Image Extension extract Business Name."

Answer: Any field in the same account labeled business name such as the business name field in the location extension. In as much as extensions can be set up at the account level, the image extension may pull a business name from an account-level extension. However, the image extension will not pull a business name from a separate campaign or ad group, and the image extension will not pull a business name from the Account Name field in the account preferences settings.

Is this what you have been saying?

Separately, perhaps you could submit a suggestion that the image extension have its own Business Name field so this can be set more explicitly.

Hi GaryBrazzell,   I hope you are doing well!I apologize if I haven’t been clear enough in my answer. The business name can be pulled from other extensions or ads that do list a business name. This is a specific field that would be filled out, such as on location extensions or audience ads. If this information is not available, the image won’t have a business name included. You may also contact our US based support team here: Contact UsThank you,Tyler | Microsoft Advertising Support Specialist | 800-518-5689

I've been a long way around with this question between Community, phone support, and chat over the past week or more. Let's summarize. The answer is:

"The image extension pulls business name from the location extension only."

    Correct?

Hi GaryBrazzell,   I hope you are doing well!I apologize for any confusion. This does not pull from the account name. Extensions and many settings can be set up at the account, campaign, or ad group level though. As such, it’s best to keep separate businesses in different accounts to avoid any accidental mixing. You may also contact our US based support team here: Contact UsThank you, Tyler | Microsoft Advertising Support Specialist | 800-518-5689
