how to fix the issue and create a better script for me

Hi @hafiz waleed

To check account data in bulk, such as verifying if user accounts exist or auditing their properties, you can use a PowerShell script that reads account information from a CSV file and processes each entry.

Steps to Check Account Data in Bulk

Prepare Your CSV File

Create a CSV file (e.g., BulkAccounts.csv) with the necessary columns, such as SamAccountName, FirstName, LastName, Email, etc.

Example CSV content:

text
SamAccountName,FirstName,LastName,Email
jdoe,John,Doe,[email protected]
asmith,Alice,Smith,[email protected]

Write the PowerShell Script

The script below will:

Import the CSV file.

Loop through each account.

Check if the account exists in Active Directory.

Output the result for each account.

# Import the Active Directory module
Import-Module ActiveDirectory
# Import the CSV file
$Accounts = Import-Csv "C:\Path\To\BulkAccounts.csv"
# Loop through each account in the CSV
foreach ($Account in $Accounts) {
    $User = Get-ADUser -Filter { SamAccountName -eq $Account.SamAccountName } -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
    if ($User) {
        Write-Output "Account found: $($Account.SamAccountName) ($($Account.FirstName) $($Account.LastName))"
        # Optionally, display more properties
        # Write-Output "Email: $($User.EmailAddress)"
    } else {
        Write-Warning "Account NOT found: $($Account.SamAccountName)"
    }
}

Save this script as CheckAccounts.ps1 and run it in PowerShell.

Review the Output

• The script will print which accounts exist and which do not.
• You can expand the script to check additional properties (e.g., group membership, enabled status) as needed.

Hope these helps you. Thank you!
