Hi guys!

Is there any way to completely disable App Marketplace on Teams and Outlook organization-wide?

So far, I have done the following:

  • On Online Exchange Admin Center, removed the My Marketplace Apps, My Custom Apps, and My ReadWriteMailbox Apps roles from regular users.
  • On Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Settings > Org Settings > User owned apps and services > Disabled "Let users access the Office Store."

Thanks!

Hi Khoa Tran,

According to my research, you can use app permission policies to control the apps that are available to each user in your organization.

  1. Go to T__eams Apps> Manage Apps > Org-wide app settings__:

 Under Apps in Teams, disable:

 Allow interaction with custom apps

 Allow interaction with third-party apps

 Under Microsoft apps, disable:

 Allow all Microsoft apps

Under Apps published to your org's app store, set Upload custom apps to Block.

  1. Restrict Outlook Add-ins

Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Org Settings > User owned apps and services> Disable Let users access the Office Store.

For more information, see Use app permission policies to control user access to apps

Notes:

Existing Apps: These settings prevent new installations but won’t remove already installed apps. Use Teams/Outlook app management policies to uninstall existing apps.
