Having a Microsoft Account does not mean you setup Microsoft Account for login. In case you are using local account, have a look at: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/reset-your-windows-local-account-password-86912508-e584-37cc-86eb-6e9b0542b5ba In case you have another administrator account, you may login with it and then attempt to reset your local account.
Retrieve Windows 11 password when locked out
I am unable to access my Windows 11 laptop due to forgetting my login password. I am locked out of my account after several failed attempts to reset the password using the "Reset Password" option, which required a USB flash drive. My security questions are not appearing for the password reset, even though I have configured them. I have also linked my Microsoft account email with my laptop and installed the "Link to Mobile" app on my phone. I am concerned about losing my data and have not found any helpful solutions online. Could someone please guide me on how to retrieve my password? Thank you.

Restarting your computer and enter Safe Mode with Command Prompt. You might be able to enable the built-in administrator account by typing ' net user administrator /active:yes ' and then resetting the password for your account. Best Regards,
