we have upgraded wifi,

but now epson printer is not connecting to computer have uninstalled and re installed but keep getting error stating ink system needs wifi conection and we have this anyone help?

Hi Andrew,

If you have upgraded your WiFi and the home router was changed, then usually this is not caused by a Windows error, the IP address on the router will be different, you need to setup the WiFi connection on the printer, below is a link to the manual for your printer model, try following the steps on page 77 to setup the network connection on your printer.

What Epson printer do you have? Have you checked the Epson website for updates? I have the Epson XP-7100 and haven't had any problems with mine. What type of Modem/Router do you have? Have you tried connecting it to your router and making it your default printer?

Since the Wi‑Fi was upgraded and the printer was already uninstalled and reinstalled, focus on the network connection first, then re-add the printer in Windows 11.

Power-cycle the printer.
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Confirm the printer is connected to the same Wi‑Fi network as the PC.
- On the printer, check its built-in Wi‑Fi or network menu/status.
- If the home network name or password changed during the Wi‑Fi upgrade, reconnect the printer to the new Wi‑Fi.
- If there are multiple routers, extenders, or separate SSIDs, make sure both the PC and printer are on the same network.
Check the printer connection in Windows 11.
- Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
