How can I open a private Microsoft Store developer support ticket with a personal Microsoft account?

I use a personal Microsoft account to manage an existing Microsoft Store app in Partner Center. I can access the Apps and games workspace and manage the app, but I can’t open a private support ticket.

When I select Contact Support in Partner Center, I’m redirected to Microsoft Engage Center. After signing in, I get a timed_out error or a page with no support request form. I also tried the direct sign-in link Microsoft documents for personal accounts, but the support workspace was still unavailable.

Is there a supported way for a Microsoft Store developer who uses a personal Microsoft account and does not have a work account to open a private support ticket? If there’s an alternate support portal or form, could you share the official link and the steps to reach it?

I can provide the Store ID and account details through a private support channel.

    Microsoft’s supported private-ticket route for a Microsoft Store developer using a personal Microsoft account is the MSA-specific Dev Center support link in Engage Center; Microsoft does not document a separate private Store developer support portal or form outside that workflow.^1^

    Official personal-account entry point

    The Windows developer support documentation provides separate case links for Entra ID and personal Microsoft account users. The MSA link is:

    https://engagecenter.microsoft.com/f8cdef31-a31e-4b4a-93e4-5f571e91255a/#view/Microsoft_AzureCXP_EngageHub/EngageHubMenu.MenuView/targetExperience/sfb/sapId/bc9d4067-7218-61b9-1d2c-68ae591acf9d

    It covers Partner Center account management, enrollment, app management, payouts, submissions, and certification.^1^ The Windows Developer Support page likewise exposes Create support case (MSA) for Store/Dev Center account, submission, payout, and program issues.^2^

    Because that exact route already produces timed_out or no request form for your account, repeating it through Partner Center → Contact Support will only return you to the same Engage Center intake.

    Escalate the inaccessible Engage Center workspace

    If Engage Center loads far enough to display its header:

    1. Select the question-mark icon.
    2. Open Engage Center Help.
    3. Under How can we help?, request assistance with an inaccessible MSA support workspace.
    4. Include:
      • that the MSA-specific Dev Center link fails;
      • the exact timed_out message;
      • the date, time, and time zone of the attempt;
      • the affected Store ID;
      • screenshots with personal information removed.

    That Help area can open a case about the Engage Center platform itself. Microsoft states that this support is handled by email and typically responds within eight business hours, although it has no contractual response commitment.^3^

    If the portal never exposes the question-mark menu or How can we help?, the published Store documentation does not provide another Store-specific private form. In that condition, use Microsoft’s personal-account support as a routing escalation:

    1. Open Contact Microsoft Support.
    2. Sign in with the same personal Microsoft account.
    3. Describe the issue as:
      “Microsoft Store developer support—MSA-specific Engage Center case form times out or is unavailable.”
    4. Select Contact Support when offered and request routing to Windows Dev Center / Microsoft Store developer support.

    Available contact methods depend on the product, scenario, subscription, and operating hours.^4^

    Do not use the onboarding mailbox

    [Email] is limited to problems with the new, fee-free individual-developer onboarding process. Microsoft directs existing-account management, app submission, certification, and analytics issues to the Windows developer support ticket route instead.^5^

    Do not post the Store ID, account email, screenshots containing account details, or other identifying information in a public Q&A thread. Supply them only after a private case, private-message request, or support email conversation has been established.
