OUTLOOK WONT CHANGE TO NEW EMAIL ADDRESS

I'm trying to update from a blueyonder.co.uk ref to an outlook.com address and it's saying it's already in use, which is correct as I have just changed it to outlook.com. Anyone got any ideas on how to get it to recognise my new address.

    Do you mean you are trying to add an alias?

    if so you cannot add an existing outlook.com address. The existing outlook.com already is its own Microsoft account. Since Microsoft accounts cannot be merged hence adding existing outlook address is not possible. sorry.

    You will have to add a non existing outlook address in the case.
