So I didn't know much about Microsoft policy's and used a VPN I don't know why and it didn't even give me any advantage and then up you know it, my account got suspended. I had many points and now I can't use any, I was so upset with Microsoft that I stopped using it. Now I'm back here, trying to appeal, but whenever I put my email to appeal they say "we cannot find a suspended log in id". Please help, I really need my account back.

    Hi Leah Rae,

I understand how concerning it is to return to Microsoft Rewards and find that the appeal form does not recognize the account you are trying to recover.

The message “We cannot find a suspended login ID” may indicate that the email entered is not the exact sign-in address associated with the suspended Rewards profile. Please sign in to the Microsoft Rewards dashboard and confirm that the same account displays the suspension notice. If the Microsoft account has multiple aliases, try the original sign-in address or another alias associated with that account.

If the suspension is visible but the appeal form still rejects the email address, submit a request through Microsoft Rewards Support while signed in to the affected account. In the request, include the exact error message, the email address associated with the Rewards profile, and screenshots of both the suspension notice and the form error, if available. You can also explain that you are no longer using the VPN and ask the Rewards team to review the account manually.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Community members and moderators cannot access Rewards account records, remove a suspension, or restore points. Only the Microsoft Rewards Support team can review the account and determine whether it is eligible for reinstatement. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Sign in with the Microsoft account that displays the suspended Rewards profile, then contact Microsoft Rewards Support and report that its appeal form rejects that account with “we cannot find a suspended login ID.”

    1. Identify the affected Microsoft account

The error’s exact meaning is not publicly documented. It may indicate that the address entered is not associated with the suspended Rewards profile.

    1. Sign in at the Microsoft Rewards site using the account you believe was suspended.
    2. Confirm that this account displays the suspension notice or the unavailable points.
    3. If it does, skip account recovery and proceed to Rewards Support below.
    4. If the username is not recognized, try another email alias or phone number attached to the same Microsoft account. Microsoft account aliases share the same account and password ^1^.
    5. If none is recognized, use Microsoft’s sign-in helper ^2^.

An Outlook contact address is not necessarily the sign-in identifier connected to the affected Rewards profile. An alias can help locate the underlying account, but it does not guarantee that the appeal form will recognize the suspension.

    2. Report the failed appeal to Rewards Support

Open the Microsoft Rewards Support form while signed in to the affected account. Rewards Support is the team that can review an account-specific suspension ^3^.

    • Choose the suspension-related category if it is offered.
    • Enter the sign-in address associated with the Rewards profile.
    • In the description, include:
      • The exact error: “we cannot find a suspended login ID.”
      • The email alias used to access the affected profile.
      • Confirmation that the Rewards page shows the suspension.
      • An honest explanation that a VPN was used, that it is no longer being used for Rewards, and that you are requesting a manual review.
      • A screenshot of the suspension and form error, if attachments are available.

If the form continues rejecting the identifier, submit a Rewards support ticket describing the form error, rather than repeatedly sending the same appeal. This forum cannot inspect or reinstate individual Rewards accounts ^4^.

Microsoft explicitly lists services that alter the true IP location among activities that can lead to losing the ability to earn or redeem points; depending on the violation, an account may be suspended and points may be invalidated ^5^. Reinstatement and restoration of points are therefore not guaranteed.
