Hi alc
With more than 400 tabs, deleting each section individually would take a while. I couldn’t find a built-in bulk-delete command documented for OneNote on Windows. Microsoft’s guide to deleting sections in OneNote for Windows describes deleting one section at a time.
If the sections you want to remove are already in the same section group, right-click the group name and look for Delete Section Group. Check the contents first, since deleting the group removes all the sections and pages inside it.
If this is your own notebook and you only want to keep a few sections, it’s quicker to copy those into a new notebook. For each section you want to keep, right-click its tab, choose Move or Copy, select the new notebook, then choose Copy. Open the new notebook and check that your pages are there before deleting the old one.
Are you trying to clear the entire notebook or keep some of its sections? Also, is this your own notebook or one shared with your class? Looking forward to your response.
