    Hi Aldo,

The process for changing the billing currency depends on whether your Microsoft 365 subscription is a personal subscription or a business subscription.

If you have a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription, Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscriptions are tied to the country/region where they were originally purchased. As a result, it is not possible to directly change the billing currency of an active subscription. In most cases, you will need to:

    1. Turn off recurring billing and allow the current subscription to expire.
    2. Update the country/region associated with your Microsoft account to Italy.
    3. Purchase a new Microsoft 365 subscription using your Italian billing details.

As long as you use the same Microsoft account, your existing OneDrive files and account data should remain available when you resubscribe.

If you have a Microsoft 365 Business subscription, the process depends on how the licenses were purchased:

    • Purchased directly from Microsoft: Business subscriptions are generally tied to the billing country/region established when the tenant and subscription were created. Changing the billing currency for an existing subscription may not be possible, and alternative licensing or migration options may need to be evaluated.

Purchased through a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP): The CSP partner manages billing and subscription provisioning. In this case, you should contact your licensing provider to discuss options for updating the billing country, currency, or purchasing replacement licenses under the Italian region.

Because business licensing scenarios can vary, you can use your Microsoft 365 administrator account to contact Microsoft Support through through the Microsoft 365 Admin Centeror your CSP partner for guidance specific to your tenant and licensing agreement.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post.
