I can confirm that the "AI Features in Microsoft 365" setting is disabled and cannot be changed for this account. I also reviewed Microsoft's documentation, which indicates that Panama is treated as having a statutory age of 18 for these AI features.
What I don't understand is why Microsoft applies such a restrictive policy. A 14-year-old can use many other AI and educational platforms without these limitations. Copilot was being used successfully for studying, creating flashcards, and generating practice quizzes until access was removed.
If there is no way to restore access, I will have to move to a different AI platform. That's unfortunate because Copilot was a valuable educational tool, and I would have preferred to remain within the Microsoft ecosystem. As it stands, Microsoft's policy is forcing me to look elsewhere.
