Can a Microsoft representative please review this thread and confirm whether a 14-year-old in Panama is prohibited from using Copilot, even with parental supervision and consent?
What is difficult to understand is why a Microsoft 365 Family subscription would restrict Copilot in this situation. The purpose of a family subscription is to support all family members, including students, and it seems unreasonable that supervised teenagers cannot use a tool designed to help with learning and productivity.
It is also hard to believe that Panamanian regulations require AI tools to be restricted to adults only. Many other AI platforms are available to teenagers and are commonly used for educational purposes without requiring users to be 18 or older.
If this is indeed Microsoft's policy for Panama, I would appreciate a clear confirmation and an explanation of the reasoning behind it.
Thank you.
