See if you have update KB5127648 available to install. It is supposed to fix this issue.
How to fix AC-3 audio crashing applications after recent windows update

I was hoping to see if there was any workaround for using applications that use dolby digital audio files. Hopefully a future update will fully fix this, but is there any workaround in the meantime? Any help would be much appreciated. I am specifically having trouble with RPGMaker at the moment, if that matters, though it seems like the specific application is not the issue, and that the audio file is the problem.
Thanks for any help

As of now, the Oct 2nd update is the most recent one Microsoft provided on this issue. It doesn't provide any mitigation or workaround.
