Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Yes. In Power Apps mobile, an app can reset or appear to crash when it uses more device memory or processing than the phone can provide. This is especially common during heavier actions such as uploading files, using native controls, or when the app is sent to the background. On Android, this can look like a crash because the app closes and returns to the home screen.
Supported causes include:
- The app is using too much total memory.
- The app is using too much memory or processing at one time.
- The app is moved to the background, including when native controls are used.
Why it works on PC but not mobile:
- Mobile devices have stricter operating system limits for memory and background processing than PCs.
- If the app exceeds available resources on the phone, Power Apps mobile resets the app.
What can be tried on the phone:
- In the Power Apps mobile app, open the user profile page and select Clear cache. Warning: this removes SaveData and app caches.
- On Android, make sure the Power Apps mobile app is prioritized in device settings, such as battery optimization and app sleep settings.
- Close other running apps and free device storage by removing unneeded data.
- Use the app more slowly during heavy actions such as navigation, taking pictures, saving, loading data, or uploads.
If the issue happens only with this app during document upload, the app developer should review the app because canvas apps can reset in Power Apps mobile when they use too many resources.
