Additional features, settings, or issues not covered by specific Microsoft Teams Free categories
Hi Marilyn Lucey,
I understand why this feels frustrating, especially when you only intended to join a meeting and were taken through several trial sign-up screens.
The first thing to confirm is whether a trial was actually added to your account and, if so, which product it belongs to. Please sign in to the Microsoft Services & subscriptions page using the same account you used in Teams: Check your Microsoft subscriptions
Review everything listed there rather than looking only for Teams. If a trial shows Cancel, select it and follow the cancellation prompts. If it shows Turn on recurring billing, recurring billing is already disabled and the trial should expire on the displayed date without renewing. If it shows Paid with: None, no future payment is scheduled for that trial.
If nothing appears there, please let me know whether you signed in to Teams with a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account, and whether you entered any payment details during the sign-up process. That will help determine where the trial is being managed.
If an active subscription appears but Microsoft does not provide a cancellation option, you can contact Microsoft Support and ask them to check the subscription and billing status associated with the signed-in account.
Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Contributors cannot access your account, view billing information, or cancel a subscription on your behalf. Thank you so much for your understanding.
