For some reason, my Windows 11 emojis are set as the Microsoft Teams emojis and I really don't like how the MT emojis look. Is there any way to change them to the regular Microsoft emojis? I have no custom fonts or anything.

    Hi!

The emojis you are seeing aren't strictly "from Teams." Teams and Windows 11 now share the same emoji style. Microsoft is adopting this style as the standard, and it is applied during updates. Therefore, the change likely occurred following a recent Windows update rather than due to a specific setting.

There is no way to revert this.

NOTE: An emoji's appearance depends on where it is displayed. An emoji is simply a character, and each application or website renders it using its own style. For example, the same 😀 character entered using the Windows + Period (.) shortcut might look different in another app, document, website, or device.

Windows 11 does not include a supported setting to switch the system emoji style from the current Segoe UI Emoji design to an older or different Microsoft emoji set. The emoji design is part of the Segoe UI Emoji font used by Windows.

Replacing the emoji font is an unsupported modification and can cause problems after Windows updates.

If the goal is only to insert standard Windows emojis, use the Windows emoji panel:

    1. During text entry, press Windows key + .
    2. Select an emoji, or keep typing to search.

If the emojis appear incorrectly as boxes in some apps, that can indicate the Segoe UI Emoji font is missing. That font is included with Windows 8 and later.
