Yes. To use the full desktop version of Word on a PC or Mac, Word can be purchased as a standalone app, or as part of a Microsoft 365 subscription.

If only basic document creation, editing, and printing are needed, Word for the web can be used for free in a browser. Word for the web supports creating, viewing, editing, and printing documents.

If Word is being used on a mobile device, printing envelopes is not supported there. That requires the Word desktop application.

    Hello

Actually Word cannot be purchased as a standalone app. It might look like a standalone app https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/p/word/CFQ7TTC0PBMB BUt it is really the price of the whole Office Home 2024 perpetual license https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/p/office-home-2024/cfq7ttc0pqvj

If you just need to open a file and print it, it is not worth that price.

Upload the file to your OneDrive via Onedrive.com, then open it via web browser www.office.com > click on the 9-dot on the upper left to access the web app option.
