Minecraft Dungeons 2 Deluxe DLC locked to one account

Hello,

I purchased Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 and redeemed the Deluxe Edition code on my Nintendo Account.

I have several user profiles on the same Switch 2. The profile that redeemed the Deluxe Edition can access the Deluxe hero skins, but the other profiles cannot. On those profiles, the Deluxe skins appear locked even though they are playing the same copy of the game on the same console.

The Minecraft Dungeons II website states that the Deluxe Edition includes four additional hero skins, the Soul Cape, the Blub pet, and DLC 1 & 2 when released.

Could you please confirm whether Deluxe content being unavailable to other profiles on the same Nintendo Switch 2 is a known bug or an intended limitation?

In particular, I would like to know whether the future DLC included with my Deluxe Edition will be available to the other profiles on the console.

If this is a known issue, please let me know whether a fix is planned.

Thank you.

Jakub

    Hi Jakub Groos

At the moment, there has been no official statement from Mojang or Microsoft confirming whether this behavior is an intended limitation or a bug. However, multiple players have recently reported that Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition content is only available to the profile that purchased/redeemed it on Nintendo Switch 2, while other profiles on the same console can access only the base game and are prompted to upgrade separately. Similar reports have also been mentioned for PS5.

Because there is no official confirmation yet, it is not possible to say whether the future DLC included with the Deluxe Edition will be shared with other profiles or remain restricted to the purchasing account. Likewise, no fix or timetable has been announced.

For now, I recommend monitoring official Minecraft/Mojang announcements and reporting the issue through Minecraft Support so the team can confirm whether this is a bug and provide updates if a fix is planned
