Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
- Sign in to Services & subscriptions and check whether both a monthly and a yearly subscription appear: https://account.microsoft.com/services
- Open Manage for the subscription and review the billing cycle. If the yearly plan is listed and not wanted, cancel it or turn off recurring billing for that plan.
- Check Order history for duplicate charges close together and confirm whether the yearly charge appears there.
- If the charge does not appear in that account, check other Microsoft accounts that may use the same payment card, or go to Manage your payments and select Investigate to search for other accounts using the card.
- To speak with a real person, use Contact Microsoft Support: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2258619. Enter the billing problem, select Get Help, and then select Contact Support to be routed to the best support option.
If the yearly charge happened after cancelling, check whether the cancellation was made less than 2 days before the billing date, because that can still allow a payment to be taken.
If the payment method may be compromised, contact the bank or payment provider immediately to prevent more charges.
