Microsoft for Startups subscription has no usable quota for GPT-6 models

We are participating in Microsoft for Startups and have activated Azure startup credits.

We are currently migrating our AI infrastructure from another cloud provider to Microsoft Azure and intend to use Microsoft Foundry as our primary long-term AI platform.

Our launch is approaching, but our migration and testing are currently blocked because the new Startup subscription has effectively no usable quota for these three models:

  • gpt-6.1-sol
  • gpt-6-astra
  • gpt-6-luna

The models are visible in Microsoft Foundry, but the available quota prevents us from deploying and using them properly.

Could a Microsoft Azure / Foundry / Startups team member please advise how we can get an appropriate initial quota enabled for these three models?

We only need a practical initial allocation so that we can continue development, integration testing, migration, and launch preparation.

If subscription-specific information is required, we can provide it through a private Microsoft-supported channel rather than posting it publicly.

Thank you. This does not resolve the issue yet. The quota request/support path is currently not giving us a usable quota for gpt-6.1-sol, gpt-6-astra and gpt-6-luna on our Microsoft for Startups subscription. We would appreciate assistance from a Microsoft Azure/Foundry/Startups team member who can review the subscription quota entitlement and help us enable a practical initial quota for these three models.

For these models, no separate access request is needed:

    • gpt-6.1-sol
    • gpt-6-sol
    • gpt-6-luna

For gpt-6-astra, no access request is needed, but a quota request can be required depending on the subscription’s quota tier. Tier 5 and Tier 6 subscriptions have quota by default.

For Microsoft for Startups, the documented path to get higher quota limits on AI models is:

    1. Follow the official Azure OpenAI quota request guidance.
    2. Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups portal.
    3. Open a support ticket.
    4. Include the Azure support request number so the Microsoft for Startups team can coordinate with the relevant Azure teams.

Microsoft for Startups Program Support is also explicitly in scope for Azure quota or quota increase requests and GPU-related benefit coordination.

If the startup credits are already activated, this is the supported escalation path for obtaining a practical initial quota allocation for development and migration work.
