My personal account has been blocked due to "detection of some activity that violates the Microsoft Services Agreement". It was only the first time I tried logging into my personal account a day after setting up the paid subscription and my account was blocked already. The recovery of my account was also blocked. So now given that I cant even log into my account, I cant even contact customer support. What about my paid subscription plan? I dont even know how to get a refund. How to recover my account? I haven NOT even started using my account, how could there have been activity that violates the Microsoft Service Agreement?

    Hello KL,

I’m sorry you are experiencing this, especially after purchasing a subscription and before you were able to use the account.

Because the message says the account was blocked for activity that may violate the Microsoft Services Agreement, this needs to go through Microsoft’s account reinstatement review, rather than the normal password-recovery process.

Please try signing in again and check the blocked-account message carefully. If you do not see the “Let’s prove you’re human” option, select the link beginning with aka.ms/ displayed in that window and complete the reinstatement form. Provide an accessible contact email address, as the Microsoft Online Safety team will respond there.

After submitting the form, avoid sending additional reinstatement requests, since multiple submissions may slow the review. Also check the contact email’s Junk or Spam folder for the response.

Regarding the paid subscription or refund, you can contact Microsoft Support using another personal Microsoft account or create a temporary account if necessary. Here is how to contact:

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, are not allowed to directly interfere with Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited solely to providing technical guidance on reported incidents, requests, or ideas.

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

Explain that the subscription belongs to the blocked account and provide the available purchase information. Support may assist with the billing matter, but they cannot bypass the account reinstatement review or manually unlock the account.

I hope you can get the support you need,

    have a nice day.
