Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello Dan Liwosz,
The exact sales tax depends on the billing location and applicable local tax rules, and it should be listed separately in the order details or tax invoice.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
Sign in to your Microsoft account order history using the account that purchased the subscription. Find the yearly renewal, select Order details, and look for the subscription price, tax, and total charged. If available, select Tax invoice to download the full tax breakdown. Please note that tax invoices are not available immediately. They normally appear on the Order details page within 48 hours to 5 days after the payment.
Note: For a Microsoft 365 business subscription, please sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center and open Billing > Bills & payments, then select and download the relevant invoice.
Also check that the billing address is correct, since taxes may be calculated according to that location. If the amount is missing or appears incorrect, please contact Microsoft Support and request a billing review. If the subscription was purchased through Apple, Google, or another retailer, contact that billing provider instead. Since this is a user-to-user forum, we cannot access your billing information or review the charge directly.
For billing support, please go to https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact, enter your problem and select Get Help. Then scroll down and select Sign in to contact Support to be routed to the best support option.
Tips:
- Support chat availability may vary by country/region, product, and support hours. If you can't get in touch with a chat agent right away, trying again later or at a different time may help.
- If the support page directs you to the automated assistant, type “I need a live agent” in the chat.
I hope your concern is resolved soon. Thank you for your patience!
