MS Teams Tab displays duplicate iframe/frame when embedding an interactive webpage - how to fix?

I am trying to add an interactive Crossword puzzle as a tab in a MS Teams channel. The crossword works, but the embedded view is showing two frames / a duplicated "Moderator" section (refer screenshot) instead of displaying the interactive puzzle cleanly.

This is on a corporate Microsoft Teams channel/account, so some apps, embedded content or iframe settings may be restricted by our organization.

Has anyone faced something similar? What Teams, iframe, embedding, or security should I check to prevent the duplicate frame and display only the interactive crossword?

Any guidance or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

    Dear @Yathindra R,

    I hope you’re having a good day.

Thank you for providing the screenshot.

Based on what I can see, the crossword itself appears to load successfully inside Teams, which suggests that the page is not being completely blocked by Teams, iframe policies, or tenant security settings.

What stands out is that the lower interactive section appears to be rendered twice, which often points to a page-rendering or compatibility issue rather than a Teams permission issue.

As a first test, I would recommend opening the exact same crossword URL directly in a browser such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome and comparing the result. If the page displays correctly in a browser but shows duplicated controls only when embedded in a Teams tab, that would strongly suggest a compatibility issue between the webpage and the Teams embedding environment.

It would also be helpful to know:

    • Whether this is a Website tab or a custom Teams app.
    • Whether the crossword page is internally developed or hosted by a third-party provider.
    • Whether the same duplication occurs in Teams Web and Teams Desktop.

If you can share the URL (if publicly accessible) or provide additional details about how the tab was created, it would help me better understand the issue.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Looking forward to hearing back from you with any updates or additional details.

    Warm regards,
