Routing API

We would like to know about data usage and retention for Routing data. We would like to use the data about mileage, duration and associated costs that we get from your routing api in a product for our clients, to allow them compare actual mileage, duration and costs from delivery runs on routes to the estimated mileage, duration and costs.

Are we able to persist the data we get from your API, combine it into web based reports and use it to generate PDF documents?

Does any of this require a special license? Would we need a license per client that uses that data?

    Hi Mark,

We do not allow the storage of route responses, but we do allow for the resulting calculation to be persisted. So the PDF report you generate at the time you make the call and do the calculation should be fine.

The restriction is in place so you don't recreate the service or use stored results to avoid making calls for "fresh" answers.

    Sincerely,

    IoTGirl
