In Teams Free, apparently you must accept a chat after 10 messages before you can send additional messages? I often use Teams to send myself a message from Home / Work, or take notes. But in a chat with yourself, there is no option to accept any message. So, how does one get around this bug? I can no longer send myself any messages.......

    Hey there,

I totally understand how that can be a bit confusing.

What’s happening here is that in Teams Free, there’s a built-in limit that stops you from sending more than ten messages in a chat until the other person accepts the conversation.

The thing is, when you’re chatting with yourself, there’s no way to “accept” that chat, so it ends up blocking further messages, it’s a known limitation in the free version.

A quick way around this is to sign in with a second account, send the message there, and then accept it from that side so the limit goes away. You could also use OneNote or Microsoft to Do if you just need a space for personal notes.

Just to check, are you using two different Microsoft accounts for this, like one for work and one for home?

That will help me guide you on the exact steps to make it work smoothly.

    Regards,
    Aron
