Problem description

I am experiencing a connection timeout issue with my Azure Application Gateway. The problem occurs when using Azure MCP Server 4.0.0-beta.6 on a Linux machine, where certain tools like subscription_list and compute_vm_get fail with the error "AntiSSRFException: The connection to management.azure.com is not allowed per policy," resulting in a status 500. Despite successful Azure CLI sign-ins and a successful read-only VM query in Azure Cloud Shell, the failure persists. I suspect the issue might be related to AntiSSRF policies blocking access before reaching Azure Resource Manager, possibly due to DNS resolution of management.azure.com to a special-use address.

Environment

Azure Application Gateway service, Linux resource, region not specified in the case information.

What I've already tried

I have rechecked the environment later, ran read-only commands in Azure Cloud Shell, and completed resolver and HTTPS checks on the Linux machine running MCP Server. I verified there is no hosts-file override and no proxy environment variables set.

Current status

I am seeking guidance on whether the next step should be with the Azure MCP Server team or the hosting provider. I would like to understand if the rejection occurs before Azure Resource Manager is reached and what diagnostics I can perform to confirm this.
