The device gets to a point and will not complete sign-in of an account.

Tried to Boot Configuration Manager and can not get past this issue.

The device spins the circle of death and eventually goes dark.

I was able to get to task manager but goes dark on any selection.

the device turns on without a problem.

It takes you to the sign in page and starts to load windows 10 but does not complete the process. Continues to spin.

If the Surface Pro 7 reaches startup or sign-in and then hangs, goes dark, or never completes loading, use this order:

    1. Force a shut down and restart
Press and hold the power button until the Surface shuts down and restarts and the Windows logo appears again, which can take about 20 seconds.
    2. If it is stuck on the Recovery screen or Boot Configuration Data screen
Let the device enter Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) by attempting to boot again after failed starts. After two failed boot attempts, WinRE should open automatically.
Then go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt.
If prompted, enter the BitLocker recovery key.
      Run these commands in order:
      • bootrec /scanos
      • bootrec /rebuildbcd
      • bootrec /fixmbr
      • bootrec /fixboot
Warning: These are boot repair commands. Run them only from WinRE and in the order shown.
    3. If Windows still does not start normally
Start the Surface by using a USB recovery drive:
      • Shut down the Surface.
      • Insert the USB recovery drive.
      • Press and hold volume-down while pressing and releasing power.
      • When the Surface logo appears, release volume-down.
    4. If the device still will not start or complete recovery
Service may be required. If the Surface does not turn on at all, Microsoft indicates the device needs to be sent for repair or replacement. If startup troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, service options may be needed.

If Windows starts after any of these steps, install the latest Surface and Windows updates.
