Microsoft Is Removing Features I Paid For

Dear Microsoft,

I have been a loyal Microsoft customer for many years, and I am extremely disappointed by the decision to remove Communities from Teams for personal use.

My community uses shared documents, shared photos, and recurring events on a regular basis. The proposed replacement, a Group Chat, is not a comparable solution and does not preserve the functionality that made Communities valuable in the first place. [support.mi...rosoft.com]

From my perspective, Microsoft is reducing the value of the Microsoft 365 service while continuing to charge the same subscription price. Customers who organised their groups, clubs, families, and communities around Teams are now expected to rebuild those structures manually elsewhere.

I urge Microsoft to reconsider this decision or provide a true replacement that preserves existing data, shared content, and event management capabilities.

Thank you.

You can send feedback to Microsoft in the portal at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ad198462-1c1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472 . That is the most efficient way to reach the Microsoft developers.

This doesn't change the fact that deprecation of the Communities feature was a surprising and unexpected move, but this feature was free. Communities did not require any paid subscription.

What bothers me most is how the deprecation process was managed. One of the Communities I was a member of (a Microsoft community) was deleted without any warning. The announcement of deprecation was made available after the community was already deleted.
