Put the Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 into its actual pairing mode by holding the CPI/DPI button below the scroll wheel while switching the bottom switch to Bluetooth; a rapidly blinking blue LED indicates that Windows can discover it.^1^
Pair it again
- Switch the mouse off.
- Hold down the CPI/DPI button below the scroll wheel.
- While continuing to hold that button, move the bottom switch to Bluetooth.
- Release the button when the mouse LED blinks blue rapidly.
- In Windows 11, open Settings → Bluetooth & devices and ensure Bluetooth is on.
- Select Add device → Bluetooth, then select the Aerox mouse when it appears.
Simply moving the switch to Bluetooth does not necessarily place the mouse into discoverable pairing mode. The mouse can also remember only one Bluetooth device at a time, so pairing it again replaces its previous Bluetooth connection.^1^
If the LED does not rapidly blink blue
Reset the mouse:
- Turn the mouse off.
- Hold left-click + right-click + CPI/DPI together.
- While holding all three buttons, turn the mouse on.
- Continue holding them for about five seconds, until the LEDs flash white.
- Turn it off, then repeat the Bluetooth pairing procedure above.^2^
This reset clears mouse-side state, so expect to pair it again.
If it blinks blue but Windows cannot find it
Since driver updates and ordinary restarts have already been tried, change Windows’ discovery mode instead:
- Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Devices.
- Under Device settings, locate Bluetooth devices discovery.
- Change it from Default to Advanced.
- Keep the mouse close to the computer and away from unshielded USB devices connected to USB 3.0 ports.
- Put the mouse back into pairing mode and select Add device → Bluetooth.
Microsoft documents Advanced discovery specifically for Bluetooth devices that do not appear in the device list.^3^
Determine whether the fault is in the mouse or PC
While the LED is rapidly blinking blue:
- Search for the mouse from another Bluetooth-capable computer, phone, or tablet.
- Also try pairing a different Bluetooth accessory with this Windows PC.
The result narrows the problem:
- Mouse appears on another device: concentrate on the PC’s Bluetooth adapter.
- Other Bluetooth devices appear on this PC, but the mouse appears nowhere: the mouse’s Bluetooth side likely requires SteelSeries support, even though its 2.4 GHz radio still works.
- No Bluetooth devices appear on the PC: reinstall the PC’s Bluetooth adapter.
Reinstall the Bluetooth adapter only if the PC is the failing side
- Right-click Start → Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click the PC’s Bluetooth adapter—the name may include Bluetooth or Radio—not the Aerox mouse.
- Select Uninstall device → Uninstall.
- Select Start → Power → Shut down. Do not use Restart.
- Wait briefly, then power the PC on. Windows should reinstall the adapter.
- If it does not, open Device Manager and select Action → Scan for hardware changes.
- Try pairing again with discovery set to Advanced.
Microsoft documents this uninstall-and-reinstall procedure as a fallback when Bluetooth hardware is present in Device Manager but is not functioning correctly.^3^
If the mouse still cannot be discovered by any device after its LED flashes blue and after the reset, use the Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 support category to pursue mouse-specific service or warranty options.^4^
