KB5127936 (26300.9818) – 6 laptops fail to boot days after install (“A recently serviced boot binary is corrupt”)
Hello,
Five Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 4 laptops (Windows 11 26H2) stopped booting after the optional preview update KB5127936 installed automatically.
They worked normally for a few days on build 9818. Then, after a restart, each one shows the Lenovo logo and resets immediately. Startup Repair reports: “A recently serviced boot binary is corrupt.”
Startup Repair, sfc, bcdboot, Safe Mode and disabling Secure Boot did not help. Only a clean reinstall fixed it. Our PCs that did not receive the preview are not affected.
Is this a known issue, and will it affect the November 10 cumulative update?
Thank you.
