I have notifications for mentions in Teams turned off. However, I am still getting notifications for mentions as icons on the Teams app. This has been an ongoing issue throughout several restarts of my laptop, Teams, etc. Attached is a screenshot of my current notification settings.

    Dear Anna I,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that you have turned off @mention notifications in Teams, but you are still seeing notification badges on the Teams app.

To help narrow down the issue, could you please clarify the following:

    • Are you receiving pop-up notifications, or are you only seeing the red badge/count on the Teams icon?
    • Are the notifications related to chat mentions, channel mentions, or team mentions?
    • Does this occur for all mentions, or only in specific teams/channels? Are other users in your organization experiencing the same issue?
    • Could you please share a screenshot of your Teams notification settings (with any personal information removed), particularly the Mentions, Channel mentions, and Team mentions sections?
    • Additionally, it would be helpful if you could provide a screenshot of the notification badge you are seeing on the Teams icon

In the meantime, please try the following steps:

Step 1: Go to Teams Settings > Notifications and activity in Teams > Under Chat and Channels, verify that Channel and Team mentions, Tag, Everyone in chat, and Personal are all turned off.

Step 2: Sign out of Teams completely, then sign back in.

Step 3: Clear the Teams cache and restart Teams. For more information and instructions, please refer to this article: Clear the Teams client cache

Step 4: Check whether the same behavior occurs when using Teams on the web and ensure that Teams is updated to the latest version.

As this is a public forum, I cannot access your Teams settings or tenant configuration directly. However, the information you provide can help me investigate further. I look forward to your update.
