I cannot understand any audio from callers on teams meeting as there is constant crackling.... I have deleted and re downloaded the app, I have checked the audio settings on the teams app and my computer. The crackling only happens during teams meetings, i can hear music and you tub videos perfetly.

Please advise any fixes for this problem

    Hi Mark,

Since you can hear music and YouTube content normally, the issue does not appear to affect all audio on your Mac. It may be related to Teams meetings specifically, the audio device being used during meetings, or meeting/network conditions.

To help narrow down the cause, you could try the following:

1/ Run a Teams test call (Settings > Devices > Make a test call).

    • If the playback also crackles, the issue may be related to Teams or the audio device being used.
    • If the playback is clear, the issue may be specific to live meetings.

2/ Try a different audio device (another headset, wired headphones, or your Mac's built-in speakers).

    • If you're using a Bluetooth headset, try wired headphones or your Mac's built-in speakers.
    • If the crackling disappears, the original headset or its connection may be contributing to the issue.
    • If you're using a USB headset through a dock or hub, connect it directly to the Mac and test again.

3/ Try joining a meeting using Teams on the web to see whether the issue occurs there as well.

4/ Check the Call Health information during an affected meeting for any reported call-quality issues:

    • In a teams meeting > select more options icon in your meeting controls.
    • Select Settings Settings icon > Call health icon in Microsoft Teams .

For information on viewing Call Health statistics in Teams, please refer to the following Microsoft article: Monitor call and meeting quality in Microsoft Teams.

5/ If this is a work or school account, you may also want to contact your Teams administrator.

Administrators can review call and meeting quality data for affected users, which may help identify whether any network, device, or call-quality issues were detected during the meeting. For reference, you may share this with your admin: Investigate the meeting quality of a specific participant.

I hope everything gets sorted out soon. Let me know if you have any questions.
