Unable to access existing Azure subscription — billing documentation and account recovery assistance needed

I need assistance with an existing Azure subscription that was established using a personal Outlook.com account that Microsoft no longer recognizes.

The subscription continues to generate monthly charges, and invoices have historically been emailed to me. However, I did not receive an invoice for the most recent charge and need a copy for our financial records. I also need to restore administrative access to the existing Azure subscription.

I've contacted Microsoft by telephone but have repeatedly been directed to submit a support request through the Azure portal, which I cannot access using the original account.

Could you please assist with:

Locating and providing the invoice for the most recent charge.

Confirming the status of the existing subscription and associated resources.

Initiating the appropriate account ownership verification process to restore access to the subscription through a functioning Microsoft identity.

I can provide previous invoice numbers, the billing profile reference, or other verification information through a secure channel.

Thank you.

    Hi @anyajctim

You're in a frustrating loop: phone support sends you to the portal, and the portal needs the account you can't use. There are two separate problems here, and it helps to tackle them in this order.

First, try to get the original Outlook.com account back

    1. Go to the Microsoft sign-in page, enter the Outlook.com address, and choose Forgot password. If it says the account doesn't exist, double-check the exact spelling and the domain (outlook.com vs hotmail.com vs live.com).
    2. If it exists but you can't verify, use the account recovery form from that same flow. Give a working email you can check now, and include as much as you remember, like old passwords and exact subject lines of emails sent from that account.
    3. Once you're back in, the invoice is under Cost Management + Billing > Invoices, and you can add a second admin so this can't happen again.

If the account really is gone, open a billing request without signing in

Microsoft's Azure sign-in troubleshooting page links to a support form for exactly this case (can't sign in to the portal): https://support.microsoft.com/oas/?prid=15470

In that request, give the company name and the dates and amounts of recent charges, so billing can identify the subscription. Ask for (1) the latest invoice, (2) the subscription status, and (3) how to transfer ownership to a new account. Share those details only in the support form, not here.

When you try the Outlook.com address on the sign-in page, does it say the account doesn't exist, or does it ask for a code you can't receive?

If this resolved your issue, please consider accepting it as the answer. If the support form doesn't let you through either, let me know and I'll be happy to keep helping.
