Hi,

I am not able to create Azure Managed redis instance in West Europe - B1 or B3 SKU for production environment. I have it created for dev, qa and test though.
"Balanced_B3 is not currently available in West Europe. Try these alternative SKUs in West Europe: ComputeOptimized_X3"

Even suggested alternative cannot be provisioned. What can I do? I dont want to try it in another region.

There is no tag for azure managed redis so i chose azure cache for redis

Azure Cache for Redis
Azure Cache for Redis

An Azure service that provides access to a secure, dedicated Redis cache, managed by Microsoft.

    Hi @Selmanovic, Dzenan

That message is a regional capacity limit, not a problem with your configuration. West Europe is one of the most capacity-constrained regions, and Azure can also restrict some SKUs there per subscription. That's also why the "alternative" SKU it suggests can fail too. It's only a hint, not a reservation.

Since you want to stay in West Europe, this is what I'd do:

    1. Check whether the production instance is going into a different subscription than dev, QA and test. If it is, that could explain the difference, since these restrictions can apply per subscription.
    2. Try another size in the same tier, for example Balanced B5, or a Memory Optimized size. Capacity is often tight for specific sizes, not the whole region.
    3. If none of them go through, open a support request in the portal (Help + support). Include the exact error, the correlation/tracking ID from the failed deployment, the region, and the SKU you need, and say it's for production. Support can check capacity for your subscription and tell you what's possible. Share the subscription ID only inside the ticket, not here.
    4. While you wait, it's worth retrying once a day. Capacity in busy regions does free up, and other users have seen the same deployment succeed later with no changes.

Is the production instance in the same subscription as your dev/QA/test caches, or a separate one?

If this resolved your issue, please consider accepting it as the answer. If support comes back with no capacity in West Europe, let me know and I'll be happy to keep helping.
