Unable to access Azure for Students — academic verification error

Hello Microsoft Support,

I am a college student in India trying to activate Azure for Students to learn cloud computing and build academic projects.

When I try to verify my academic status, I receive this error:

“You do not have access. Sorry but our systems are detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access.”

The Azure support ticket route redirects me to Engage Center, which remains stuck loading. I cannot submit a support request through that route.

Could you please advise how I can get my academic eligibility reviewed or contact the Azure for Students support team?

I can provide my college ID card or other proof of enrollment if required.

Thank you.

Azure for Students eligibility requires all of the following:

    1. Attendance at an accredited, degree-granting two-year or four-year institution as a full-time student.
    2. Academic status verification through the institution email address.
    3. Only one Azure for Students subscription per eligible customer.
    4. The offer is not available for MOOCs or professional training from for-profit organizations.

For this specific verification failure, the supported next step is to have the case reviewed by Azure support.

Use the Azure for Students support form:

    When submitting the request, include:

    • Full name
    • Institution email address used for verification
    • The exact error message: “You do not have access. Sorry but our systems are detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access.”
    • A short description that the normal Azure support route redirects to Engage Center and does not load

If the institution email address was used previously for verification, that can also block activation because Azure for Students allows one subscription per eligible customer.

If eligibility is confirmed and support review is needed, proof such as a student ID or enrollment evidence may help during manual review.
