    Hi,

You will need to turn off Smart App Control to stop this popup from appearing. However, keep in mind that disabling it will reduce your computer's security, so do so at your own risk.

If you still want to turn it off, make sure your Windows version is build 26100.8116 (24H2) or newer. On older or outdated Windows versions, turning off Smart App Control is a one-way process, meaning you cannot turn it back on without a clean installation of Windows. You can follow the instructions in the link below to disable it through Windows Security settings or the Registry.

Smart App Control blocks apps or parts of apps that Windows considers potentially unsafe or untrusted. Before trying to bypass the warning, make sure you trust the app and downloaded it from the official developer’s website.

First, check whether the app has an updated version, then try downloading and installing it again from the official source. If the warning continues, check the exact message and which file or component is being blocked.

Keep in mind that turning off Smart App Control is not a simple per-app exception, and turning it off may prevent you from turning it back on without resetting or reinstalling Windows, depending on your Windows version.

What app are you trying to open, and are you using Windows 11? If you share the app name and the full warning message, we can suggest the safest next step.

There is currently no way to allow or unblock one specific app in Smart App Control.

    Available options:

    1. Check Smart App Control status
      • Go to Settings > Windows Security > App and Browser Control.
      • If it shows On, Smart App Control is enforcing blocks.
      • If it shows Evaluation, it is only evaluating.
      • If it shows Off, it is not active.
    2. Turn Smart App Control off
      • Open Windows Security > App & browser control > Smart App Control settings.
      • Set it to Off if the blocked app must run.
      • Smart App Control can also be turned on manually in Windows Security if it is available on the device, and recent Windows updates allow it to be re-enabled without a clean installation.
    3. Use a properly signed version of the app
      • Smart App Control allows apps if the cloud security service predicts they are safe, or if they have a valid signature.
      • If the app is unsigned or has an invalid signature and the service cannot determine it is safe, it is treated as untrusted and blocked.
      • The recommended fix is to get the latest version from the app developer and use a version signed with a valid certificate.
    4. Check what was blocked
      • Open Event Viewer.
      • Go to Application and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > CodeIntegrity > Operational.
      • Look for event ID 3076 for evaluation mode or 3077 for enforcement mode.
      • These logs show which individual files were blocked or audited.

    Important:

    • There is no per-app bypass in Smart App Control.
    • Registry-based changes exist for testing, but they are for testing purposes only and can reduce protection.
